Jay Sandberg D.O., F.A.C.O.I.

Founder, Medical Director

Jay H. Sandberg, D.O., was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1957.  He graduated from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1985.  He completed his internship at Botsford General Hospital in June, 1986, and then completed his residency in internal medicine at the former Oakland General Hospital in June, 1989.  He is also certified in geriatrics from the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.  He was elected a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists in October, 1996.

Dr. Sandberg is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine and Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.  He is also a clinical instructor for Wayne State University Physician Assistant Studies Program.  Dr. Sandberg is an attending at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak and St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital.  He is in private practice at Oakland Medical Center in Troy, Michigan, where he serves as medical director.

Bridget Swanson, P.A.-C.

Physician Assistant

Bridget Swanson, P.A.-C. joined Oakland Medical Center in 2013. She worked in family practice in Milford, Michigan and in Des Plaines, Illinois prior to joining our group. She is a graduate of Midwestern University. As a Physician Assistant, she may examine patients, diagnose injuries and illnesses, and provide treatment under the supervision of physicians and surgeons.

Podiatrist

goldLee K. Gold, DPM, FACFAS is a board certified medical physician specializing in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and sports medicine.

Dr. Gold is on staff at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital, all DMC Hospitals, St John Oakland Macomb Hospital and St Mary Hospital. Dr. Gold Is past division chair and resident director for St. John Oakland Macomb and continues to active in resident training.

Dr. Gold, a marathon and ultra runner himself, is active in the treatment of all athletes and had served as the Detroit Pistons Podiatrist in the 1990’s.

Dr. Gold is a referring physician for The Oakland Medical Research Center.

Lawrence Greenberg, D.O.
Nephrologist

Lawrence Greenberg, D.O. is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He received his medical degree from Western University of the Health Sciences in 1985 and completed post-graduate studies in Chemistry and Biochemistry at Michigan State University. Dr. Greenberg completed his Internal Medicine residency at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital in 1988 and has completed a Nephrology Fellowship at the University of Michigan in 1990. He is affiliated with the following hospitals: DMC-Detroit Receiving, Harper-Hutzel, Sinai-Grace, Huron Valley, William Beaumont – Royal Oak, Pontiac Osteopathic, Providence, and St. John’s -Warren. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Society of Nephrology, the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Transplant Physicians, and the Michigan Osteopathic Medical Association.
