Jay H. Sandberg, D.O., was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1957. He graduated from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1985. He completed his internship at Botsford General Hospital in June, 1986, and then completed his residency in internal medicine at the former Oakland General Hospital in June, 1989. He is also certified in geriatrics from the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. He was elected a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists in October, 1996.
Dr. Sandberg is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine and Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is also a clinical instructor for Wayne State University Physician Assistant Studies Program. Dr. Sandberg is an attending at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak and St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital. He is in private practice at Oakland Medical Center in Troy, Michigan, where he serves as medical director.
